Over the Veteran's Day weekend, 26 of Spring Valley's Model United Nations students traveled to Los Angeles for one of the most competitive high school conferences in the western United States, BruinMUN at UCLA.
Representing Australia, Togo, and Slovenia in 13 committees, our Grizzlies held their own while competing against over 1,500 students from 55 different high schools.
Michael Lehavi and Aleta Dignard-Fung won honorable mentions for outstanding representation of Australia in the 6th Legal Committee.
Meriem Messoudi, representing Australia in the highly competitive Security Council Crisis Committee won "Outstanding Delegate" after helping forge solutions on the topics of international terrorism and Crimea.
Congratulations to all for another successful conference!
